Holistic Education
Mind, body and character grow together at Samartha. Sport, the arts, life skills and Indian values are part of every child’s week — not extras.
Educating the whole child
At Samartha, we believe education is about more than marks. Our approach brings together a strong academic foundation, physical activity, the arts and traditional Indian moral values, so that each child develops in mind, body and soul. As our founder says, the end of education is character.
That is why we offer a wide range of programmes beyond the classroom and give them real time in the school week. Every student gets the chance to discover what they love, develop their skills and build meaningful relationships with their mentors.
Sport and fitness
Sport teaches teamwork, discipline and resilience. Our students play basketball, football, volleyball and tennis, learn skating, and take part in archery and horse riding. Through our sports teams they compete against other schools and represent Samartha with pride.
Yoga and chess build a different kind of strength: calm, focus and the patience to think several moves ahead.
Music, dance and the arts
In our dedicated music room, students learn vocal and instrumental music. Dance, art and craft, pottery and mono-acting give every child a way to express themselves, and our amphitheatre and school events give them an audience. Performing in front of others builds confidence that lasts a lifetime.
Debate, public speaking and life skills
Our debate and public speaking clubs help students develop critical thinking and communication skills. Our life skills and personality development programme builds confidence, leadership and teamwork, along with values, manners and empathy.
In culinary sessions, children learn to prepare simple, healthy dishes, keep a kitchen safe and clean, and cook and share as a team — small lessons in independence that they carry home.
Four houses, one Samartha
Every student belongs to one of four houses: Vayu (Air), Agni (Fire), Akash (Sky) and Prithvi (Earth). The houses compete in sport, culture and service, which gives every child a team to belong to and a reason to give their best for others.
Rooted in Indian values
Right discipline and traditional Indian moral values shape every school day. We celebrate festivals together, and we expect courtesy and respect in the classroom, on the field and on the school bus, so that our students grow into responsible citizens.
These programmes create well-rounded individuals, prepared to face the world’s challenges with confidence and resilience. Whether your child loves sport, music, debate or community service, there is something for them here.
